Google Invite Pin Design: Iowa

My icon designs for a Google promotion in Oklahoma were a big hit. So when Google opened a branch office in Iowa, I was commissioned to draw a collection of state-themed icons that were used in invitations and promotional material there. The Iowa-themed icons combine with Google brand icons to form a Google Maps pin shape, but they can also stand alone. Some highlights include a bicycle race and hot air ballon festival; agriculture and the state fair; Iowa’s famous state capitol building; the state’s prominent role in national politics; and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
